Chairman Woodall Biography

Representative Rob Woodall (R-GA) was first elected to Congress in November 2010 and is currently serving his 2nd term in the U.S. House of Representatives. A native of Georgia, he represents the highly populated and economically vibrant Seventh District just northeast of metro Atlanta. Prior to being elected RSC Chairman, Congressman Woodall served on the Committee as Chairman of the Budget and Spending Task Force; a position he will hold for the remainder of the 113th Congress. In his time leading the task force, the RSC authored the most conservative budget presented in the U.S. House, which would have brought federal spending to balance in 4 years.

A staunch advocate of fiscal responsibility and conservative principles, Woodall also serves on the House Rules Committee, Oversight & Government Reform Committee, and Budget Committee. He is a vocal proponent of fundamental tax reform, specifically H.R. 25, the FairTax, which he has introduced each year in Congress, and has worked tirelessly to put an end to the unconstitutional Executive overreach of the Obama Administration.
